I know it's hard to comprehend that when you walk into a salon and point to the picture in the magazine and say this is what I want to look like and your stylist informs you that it will take some time and PRODUCT!. It's like clients think we are just trying to sell them something all the time that is useless. This is so not true. Product is the key ingredient to fabulous hair. Anyone who says they don't use it, (u can tell!!!! lol) But for real. If you are going for a long layered pieced out look, you are going to require some pomade , volumizers and some hair spray, weather we want to face it or not. Of course us stylists can make your hair from drab to fab in a matter of minutes but if our clients paid any attention to what we do when we transform their hair they would see we examine the type of hair and texture and what their hair needs to hold this look. Please ladies and gents, if your stylist is telling you that you need product in order to achieve the style you aspire to have, it's not just hot smoke being blown up ur koo!!!! Listen to them they know what they are talking about they are the stylist.

Often I encounter clients who come in with a picture and say I want to look like this super duper model in this picture. Let me not forget a lot of clients are in their mid 40's to mid 50's and sometimes a little more seasoned. We all wish we had some super models something or other, but lets be realistic here. What clients tend to not realize is as they age so does their hair. Hair can change texture, thickness and lack rich color. Our hair takes a beaten through our lives and it will show its age at some point. The trick is to find professional products that are non stripping to the hair and that will add moisture and nourishment. Stick to organic non sulfate shampoos that are mild enough for even the stubbornest hair and skin. They will not stip or damage the hair cuticle more than it is. Also another great trick is to get semi-pemanent keratin treatments. They pose no health risks and are very quenching to the hair. They preserve color as well as repair damaged split ends. For grey hair, try matrix ultra violet shampoo to keep your hair silver and not dingy. Just remember we may not all look like or ever will look like those super duper models but with the right hair stylist we can always give you what you need to look and feel your best.

Many clients come in telling tails of horror at their previous stylists salon. I hear anything from they fried my hair, to they were just plain sick of the so so cut and styles they were getting and just needed a change. I always listen and take into consideration of their lifestyle and how much time they are willing to put into their hair in the morning. I understand that people want certain styles that they just want to wash and go. But lets be real here for a minute. Unless you are getting a pixie its just not realistic to get a beautiful long layerd cut with bangs and all this texture and not have to use product or at least spend a little bit of time to get the results you want. During my time with clients spilling their woe's about how their last salon was not living up to expectaions I often hear "wow I'm surprised you did not ask me where I was going to?" So even though it is sunny out the air is chilly and causes us to sometimes be subjected to wearing a hat. I love hats, fashion hats but, we know what it does to our materpiece hairstyle that took us all morning to accomplish. I have the best revolumizing product for you. Big Sexy Hair has an aerosol volumizing mist. Unbelievable stuff!!!!! Just lift random sections of hair(no need to be percise) and angle the bottle toward your roots. Hold the can about six inches away from the root area. Scrub your finger tips through it as though you were washing your hair and your lifeless hair style will plump right up. This stuff is a number one selling product and sells quicker than it comes in. Try it for yourself you will LOVE it!

30 Minute Keratin treatments here!

OK, so we have all heard the horrific stories and crazy damage that keratin treatment causes to your health as well as the environment. The vapors that rize from the iron sealing in the keratin is dangerously poisoness to your lungs and if pregnant the effects are unknown to the fetus. If you are looking for more easily manageable hair check this product out. It is a semi-keratin treatment wich means it doesn't last 2-4 months but instead will last 2-4 weeks depending how much you wash and what you use to wash your hair with. Sexy hair has come up with a semi-keratin treatment to lock in your color and give you much more manageable hair at the same time. I have tested this product out and being a stylist and constantly coloring, ironing, and doing all the fun things that come along with being a hair dresser I have caused some damage. We ALL have damage in some way. This product left my hair feeling silky and cut my styling and drying time in half. It lasted about 3 weeks and even then it wasn't fully ready to be treated again but I loved it so much I had to take advantage of it again. The plus is the more you get this treatment the longer it will last and the more repaired your hair will feel. Treatments cost only $20 when you recieve a color.
